I Don't Know How to Love Him

If You Love Me

I Could Have Danced All Night

The story so far

Dorathy began her career at a very young age and developed her strong vocal strength from working with bands five nights a week. A training ground like no other. Dorathy was also a resident vocalist with the Mt Pritchard Community Club big band “Western Front” for many years.

Dorathy gained an enormous amount of respect and experience during the “Hey Day” of the “Bourbon and Beef Steak Bar” where she worked three nights a week or should we say mornings………………for many years with some of the best musicians in the business. Some would be afraid to mention this but you cannot gain this experience anywhere else. This is how she became the versatile strong performer she is today.

At the same time, Dorathy was also performing the standards with just a beautiful Grand Piano at a number of five star hotels in Sydney eg: “The A.N.A. Hotel” “The Intercontinental Hotel”.

When cabaret was at its peak, she was managed by Barbara McKay and trained by the best. Regularly working the club circuit supporting performers like - “Simon Gallagher”, “Jade Hurley”, “Herman’s Hermits” “Kamahl”, “Barry Crocker”, “Marty Rhone”, “John Rowles”, “The Four Kinsmen” and many more.

Appearing on National television numerous times on shows such as “Bert Newton’s Midday Show”, “The Mike Walsh Midday Show”and “John Mangos Morning Show”.

In her early years of cabaret she spent many months cruising on the “The Fairstar” and “The Alexandr Puskin”. Cruising more recently has taken her to places like Japan and Bora Bora and introduced her to a non-English speaking audience. Dorathy proved her abilities by being able to communicate through her humour and her voice and received rave reviews and return bookings. It was a requirement to have two totally different cabaret shows, not one.

You will also hear Dorathy’s voice on many radio and television jingles and singing backing vocals on many albums. She toured many times with International Stars from the Philippines not only singing backing vocals for such performers like “Martin Nievera” and others but was also contracted to book and co-ordinate the best vocalists for the job.

Dorathy has also worked internationally as a cabaret performer in venues in Boston, Florida, “The Trump Plaza” Atlantic City and many venues in the United Kingdom.

As one of the most respected freelance vocalists in Sydney, Dorathy is booked by the best musicians and performers in Australia to work in their shows for eg: “Fallon”, “Boyz from Oz”, ”Neil Diamond Experience” “Grease is the word” and many more.

Dorathy also plays the role of Agnetha in Abbacadbra a tribute to Abba with a unique Australian Concept.

Over the years, Dorathy has been booked to host/compere talent quests and Cabaret Shows and has also organised her own talent quests as well as being asked to judge for many respected agents.

Performing with her bands High Rollers, Party Time and her duo Time Out they have provided great entertainment for clubs, weddings, functions, corporate events and venue openings such as “Doltone House Darling Harbour”. They have also travelled nationally and internationally performing in numerous five star hotels and venues.

Her appeal is Universal. With a beautiful pure natural voice that has enabled her to sing many styles such as Jazz, Contemporary, Country, Rock, Theatre and the great songs of the 20’s – 40’s, Dorathy’s career spans many years and many experiences.

Dorathy also broadened her repertoire and is now able to sing in Japanese and Italian.
